Tears flowing at 4am everyday because I`ve failed to meet my deadline yet AGAIN.

Threats to burn my lecturer`s house down were given off almost every few hours.

Last week, YunYuan and I went out to town.

On the way from my university to Kota Kinabalu town.

We caused a traffic jam.

I met a new friend.

There was this nice Japanese-like table and I took a seat. On top of the table, there was this beautiful Chinese chess set.

This girl came over and took a seat opposite me.

She starting messing around with the chinese chess set.

I asked her if she knows to play the game.

She looked up at me and smiled.

She then told me her name and I offered her my hand as a sign of introduction.

Shes 8 btw =)

Not long after, she started teaching me all the Chinese characters on the pieces and we were racing to finish arranging the pieces on the board. (im mandarin illiterate btw)

Somehow I found it so easy to communicate with an 8-year-old.

No complications, no lies.

Pure innocence.

I miss that.
